We not only had respect for his ability to guide on the trail but enjoyed and appreciated his broad cultural and historical insight as well. High Tatras Tour with the highest summit in Slovakia - Gerlachovsky Peak Veronika, We are safely back home and I must say that we have enjoyed very much our stay in the High Tatras. Alena was a great guide and the programme we designed together was exactly what we wanted (although Gerlachovsky was a little bit more difficult than what we expected from the book we had bought in the planning stage; a good experience nevertheless!!!). Slovak Natural Treasure Tour Dear Alena, We had a wonderful stay in Slovakia and lots of good walks. We can thoroughly recommend the 6 day tour to others. We were well received and briefed by you and felt well equipped to start on our holiday. All the hotels were clean and well equipped. The suggested walks were very good and interesting and very well marked, a great advantage if Slovakia wants to attract walkers.There are still many possiblities for us to do some walking in Slovakia another time. From Hut to Hut Trekking Tour in the High Tatras Hi Alena, I am sorry that I could not respond to you earlier. We came back to Canada on the 12th of August and as you realize we got back to our work. We had our best time in Slovakia. Everything went very well, the people were exceptionally kind and helpful. The accommodations were very good. Hiking was beyond belief, we were very lucky that the weather was good as well. We were pleasantly surprised of the people hiking in the trails, this is very uncommon in Canada. High Tatras - Self-guided Tour Alena, This was our first visit to Central Europe. It was great having an English-speaking agent meet us at the train, personally drive us to the resort in the mountains, provide us with maps and daily itineraries (which we ignored when we just wanted to sleep in) and later return us to the station at the end of our stay. We met a friendly staff at the resort. For a cost that was less than a dingy hotel room in Western Europe, we daily enjoyed a 2-floor, ski-resort apartment, ate a hearty breakfast, received a voluminous packed lunch - packed so that we could eat lunch on the forest trails when and where we wished in some of the most beautiful wilderness in the world, and a scrumptious supper each evening. Our Canadian home is 1 hour's drive from Banff, Canada, reputedly the most beautiful wilderness area in the world, but we absolutely loved the High Tatras Mountains with its undulating trails and many splashing water falls. The quietness and quaintness of the resort allowed us to completely unwind from our normally very hectic life. We happily encourage North Americans and Europeans to consider spending a week in the High Tatras mountains before the rest of the world discovers this gem of Central Europe. Trekking tour in the High Tatras Hello Alena, We are back in Poprad this afternoon and everything went well. The hiking was great and the mountains, especially high up, were beautiful. And it was nice to have a chata at the end of the day1. Thank you again for setting up the trip.
